The correspondent claims to be in New Jersey but uses a sort of British Raj address style by putting a comma after the house number. This person, I assure you, is not in New Jersey. Note that I am beckoned to a job in Seattle. It is true I once lived in Seattle, but that has nothing to do with the invitation. When you are 11,000 miles away, like the recruiter, it is easy to imagine that Seattle is down the pike from New York City. Just a few klicks, you know.
